The Nuremberg Moot Court 2023 opened on Wednesday 19 July
The Nuremberg Moot Court 2023 started on Wednesday 19 July at 17:30 CEST with the Opening Ceremony in Courtroom 600.
International Nuremberg Principles Academy Director Professor Dr Christoph Safferling, Judge Stephan Husemann, Nuremberg Higher Regional Court and Dr Imanuel Baumann, Director, Memorium Nuremberg Trials, gave the opening speeches.
Afterwards a pre-recorded video of Bavarian Minister of State for Justice Georg Eisenreich was played.
Finally, Dr Emma Brandon, Project Officer, International Nuremberg Principles Academy and Darleen Seda, Research Assistant, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, International Criminal Law Research Unit, presented the competition and answered the teams' questions.
